As a single mother if life ran as planned things were great but when the wheels fell off I had to learn to let go of all control and just roll with it. I painted this after a one very rough morning in which a number of things went totally wrong. In this painting I depicted myself hanging on a cross as if to say “I relinquish and give all control to God.” With all that’s gone on in our world over the past couple of years I find myself back there again.
